Carlo Gonzalez on Luane Dy: “She is really fascinated (with) all Disney princesses, ‘yung cartoons,”
CARLO GONZALEZ – The Kapuso actor recently revealed the reason why he proposed to Luane Dy at Disneyland way back in 2019.
Carlo and Luane tied the knot in a civil wedding last November 28, 2019 and got married in a dreamy church wedding last February 8, 2023.
In a recent interview on the latest episode of the “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel” podcast, Carlo Gonzalez shared the reason why he proposed to Luane Dy at Disneyland last 2019.
The Kapuso actor chose Disneyland because his partner has always been in awe of Disney princesses and cartoons. According to him, Luane told him that it was her first time going to the “happiest place on Earth” at that time.
Carlo also said that Disneyland has been a part of his childhood as his family would visit there at every chance they get.
“We took a spot over [sa] mga benches tapos naglalakad lang kami, bibili kami ng corn or whatever. Iniisip ko na ang sasabihin ko pagtingin niya, sineset ko na ‘yung mood,” the actor said.
Luane, for her part, said that she didn’t cry but there definitely was a shock when Carlo finally popped the question to her at that time.
“Nagulat ako na parang talagang ‘weh?’ Napa-gano’n pa nga ako. Na-shock ako na hindi ko alam paano mag-react. Parang ‘wow’,” Luane said. “Tapos lahat ng tao, even ‘yung mga hindi namin kakilala, naki-cheer na sa kaya so parang ‘woohoo!’“
In the same interview, the couple also shared how their love story began.

The Kapuso actor shared that he casually met Luane when they came alone to their friend’s party at that time. According to him, they had a great time talking about their lives then, but they did not keep in touch after that.
Carlo and Luane met again when they got a chance to work for a Kapuso soap, “I Heart You, Pare!”
