Dennis and Jen both have sons from their previous relationships. The Kapuso actress has a son named Alex Jazz, her son with her ex-boyfriend, actor Patrick Garcia. Despite their breakup, Jen and Patrick and his family are visibly in good terms.

In a recent interview with Pep, Carlene Aguilar revealed her real relationship with Jennylyn Mercado who is now the wife of Dennis Trillo. She stressed that they are okay and although she can’t remember if they have ever met in person, they exchange messages and talk in calls.
According to Carlene, there are even times when she would ask Jen to talk to Calix. She answered in the affirmative when asked if she gave the Kapuso actress a permission to also parent her son. She stressed that Jen is now Calix’s stepmom and they would usually share their parenting style to each other.
During the interview, Carlene Aguilar also expressed that she is happy for the relationship of Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado now. According to her, she can really see that the actor matured and the years have also matured them.
