Dennis Trillo: “Si Jen, na-amaze siya do’n sa mga lalaking pangalan na ginagamit ng babae.”
DENNIS TRILLO — The Kapuso actor recently spoke about the reason why he and his wife Jennylyn Mercado named their daughter “Dylan”.
Dennis said in an episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast that he and his wife really did intend for it to be special.
According to him, his wife was amazed in boy names that are used for girls and so they thought about one that has letters from his name and letters from her name.
“Si Jen, na-amaze siya do’n sa mga lalaking pangalan na ginagamit ng babae. So nag-isip kami ng isa na merong mga letters ng pangalan ko, letters ng pangalan niya,” Dennis said. “Naisip namin, ‘oh, ito na lang. Parang bagay din ‘to. Parang match din kay Bob Dylan.’ Mahilig kami sa music niya. ‘Yon, naging Dylan.“
Since welcoming their first child last April, the actor said that he’s been very hands-on to baby Dylan. In fact, he still fulfilled his daddy duties after coming home from taping.

While Nelson Canlas was interviewing the actor, his wife surprised the podcast host with a quick greeting.
The podcast host then said that he missed Jennylyn and went on to ask her when she will be coming back to work. The actress told him that she will return to showbiz on the “first quarter next year”.
According to a report, the actress was working on “Love. Die. Repeat.” last year when she realized she’s pregnant with Dylan.
The taping for the said project had to be postponed as it was challenging for her to continue taping in the early stages of her pregnancy. She thanked her GMA family for allowing her to finish the project once she’s ready to work again.
