Producer of Toni Gonzaga’s 20th anniversary concert denies giving away free tickets
TONI GONZAGA CONCERT – The concert producer of the Ultimate Multimedia Star denied giving away free tickets.
Toni, whose real name is Celestine Cruz Gonzaga-Soriano, is a singer, entrepreneur, host, actress, producer, vlogger, and singer. She was the former lead host of the long-running reality show Pinoy Big Brother.
She decided to step down as the main host of PBB earlier this year after supporting the candidacy of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. It was in September 2022 when Toni Gonzaga, together with her husband, Paul Soriano, transferred to All TV.
She previously starred in the movie, My Teacher, which is one of the official entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) alongside Joey de Leon. Presently, she’s gearing up for her 20th anniversary concert which is scheduled on January 20, 2023 at Araneta Coliseum.
However, her upcoming concert was swirled with criticism. This prompted Joed Serrano, the producer of the said event to speak up.
According to him, 55% of the tickets for the concert were already sold. On the other hand, 20% were bought by several private companies to show their support to the Ultimate Multimedia Star.
Serrano also confirmed as per latestchika.com that Mommy Pinty Gonzaga, the mother of Toni bought some tickets. Then, he denied giving away free tickets for the concert.
“Mommy Pinty paid 350 tickets for her friends, relatives and churchmates who ordered from her,” he said. “These tickets are paid. Wala ng libre sa panahon ngayon except pag kapamilya mo ang manonood. Iba ang concert sa pulitika at pelikula,” he added.
