HEART EVANGELISTA – The fashion socialite and so-called “crazy rich Asian” received a variety of reactions after being spotted with a limited edition luxury handbag worth millions.
Heart’s showbiz career started when she became a member of ABS-CBN’s Star Circle Batch 9. She then ventured into acting and became part of the movies like Ang Tanging Ina, Bcuz of U, Mano Po 6: A Mother’s Love, and Temptation Island. She also landed as a VJ on the MYX music channel.
Heart Evangelista is married to Senator-elect Francis “Chiz” Escudero, the outgoing governor of Sorsogon. They were introduced to each other by Evangelista’s “mentor”, the late senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, who was a close friend of Heart’s mom.
They tied the knot in 2015 in a private ceremony at the Balesin Island Club. In May 2018, Evangelista and Escudero announced that they are expecting twins. However, she subsequently suffered a miscarriage.
The actress is currently in Japan for a vacation along with her husband and the senator’s kids. Recently, she went to the social media platform, Instagram wherein she posted some snaps of her.
Netizens were quick to notice her handbag which some presumed to be worth millions of pesos. Actually, she’s sporting a Hermes Neige Faubourg Birkin 20 White Matte Alligator Handbag at the time. According to the luxury fashion store Maison de Luxe, the bag cost at a whopping P20,611,534.29.
As expected, her post generated mixed reactions from the netizens.
