The 35-year-old actress has been making a buzz online in the past few days after smearing a cake on the face of a waiter identified as Allan Crisostomo. It happened during the pre-birthday celebration of the vlogger.

Due to her treatment to the waiter, she received massive criticism from netizens and even well-known personalities including motivational speaker Rendon Labador, veteran broadcast journalist Arnold Clavio, DJ Mo Twister and to name a few.

Alex has already apologized to those affected, especially to the waiter. In a statement, she stated that God taught her a difficult and important lesson on her special day. She then apologized to the waiter and her parents, saying she would “rise from this a wiser and better person”.

Prior to giving an apology, the waiter wrote a letter to prove that he and Alex are now in good terms. It seems that all is well between them but netizens are yet to move on from the recent controversy.

Recenty, she went to the video-sharing platform, TikTok wherein she posted a clip of the “sold out” concert of her sister Toni Gonzaga at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Her post was accompanied by the caption: “Congrats my sisss!!!! Bawal fake news!!!” As expected, it was flooded with mixed reactions.
