There are many Filipinos around the world and most of them are OFWs working away from their families. The majority of them experienced homesickness because they found it challenging to live abroad. Nevertheless, there is a particular street in Seoul, South Korea, where all of the vendors are Filipinos.

In Daehangno, a university close to central Seoul opens an exotic market every Sunday from morning through afternoon along the street between Hyehwa-Dong Catholic Church and Dongsung High School with at least 15 vendors with green tents.

The market is known as “Little Manila”. It is a place where anyone can buy a wide range of Filipino foods, treats, and traditional items. As a result, Filipinos living in Korea no longer miss their home country. So, their gateway to the Philippines is this Pinoy Street in Seoul called “LITTLE MANILA.”

One of the stall owners in Little Manila is a certain Violeta. According to her, she has been selling food in the famous location for 10 years already.

Before coming to South Korea, she married a Korean in the Philippines. They migrated to the said country and tied the knot there. Because of the Filipino foods that she’s selling in her karinderya, she’s earning 2 million South Korean won or P86,000 a day.
