Here’s the reaction of a lawyer about the character of Noynoy Aquino in Mamasapano movie
MAMASAPANO MOVIE – A lawyer couldn’t help but turn emotional after watching the premier of the film, Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told.
Produced by Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told is a movie that depicts the tragedy that befell the soldiers involved in the SAF’s “Oplan Exodus” on January 25, 2015, in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
It stars Paolo Gumabao, Edu Manzano, Aljur Abrenica, Claudine Barretto, Gerald Santos, Alan Paule, Rey “PJ” Abellana, Jojo Abellana, Ronnie Liang, Myrtle Sarrosa, Ritz Azul, Rez Cortez, Juan Rodrigo, Jojo Alejar, Jim Pebanco, Tom Olivar and to name few. It is expected to hit theaters on December 25, 2022.
Among those who first watched the movie is Atty. Darwin Canete and earlier, he went to social media wherein he gave his reaction on the movie. According to him, actor Jervic Cajarop who played the role of former president Noynoy Aquino III, showed the characteristics of the ex-chief executive.
At the height of Mamasapano issue, Aquino became controversial because of his alleged bad decisions that caused the deaths of SAF members. On the other hand, the trailer for Mamasapano also showed how Aquino is portrayed in the film.
“The actor who played Noynoy drew on the actual Noynoy’s distinct qualities of moral cowardice, stupidity and abject laziness. I nearly shouted “leche ka Noynoy sana pinutok ka na lang sa inidoro!” everytime he appeared on screen,” Canete said.
Meanwhile, in a previous interview film’s producer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio said that the movie is his gift to the families of fallen SAF members. “It is a redemption of my promise to the kin of the SAF44,” he said.
