After earning backlash for dressing up as Jeffrey Dahmer on Halloween, actor Martin del Rosario apologized
MARTIN DEL ROSARIO – The Kapuso actor apologized after earning backlash for dressing up as real-life serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer on Halloween.
It was on October 31, 2022, when Martin went to his Instagram Story wherein he posted a photo of himself sporting Jeffrey Dahmer.
It was reposted by her aunt, GMA News anchor Connie Sison and it appears that they had a Halloween family celebration.
Eventually, Martin and Connie took down their posts.
However, some netizens were able to screenshot his photo and reposted it on Twitter.
Apparently, Martin del Rosario earned backlash due to dressing up as the American serial killer.
Some netizens even called him “insensitive”.
“Martin Del Rosario thinks he’s cool dressing as Jeffrey Dahmer, go act like a dumb insensitive human being!” a netizen wrote.
While most of the netizens are criticizing him, he was defended by Neil Arce, the husband of Angel Locsin.
Neil agreed that it was wrong to pick the serial killer as a Halloween costume but the reaction of netizens according to him is “OA”.
After earning massive backlash from netizens, Martin del Rosario issued an apology.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey Dahmer is an American serial killer who was infamous for killing 17 men in inhuman ways from 1978 to 1991.
He even ate the body parts of some of his victims.
He was killed by his fellow inmate in 1994.
His story was brought back in the newest series on Netflix.
