IWA MOTO – The actress was left in shock after a street kid asked her for alms through the e-wallet platform, Gcash.

Iwa or Aileen Quimado Iwamoto in real life started off in showbiz when she won as third runner-up in the third season of StarStruck, a reality-based talent search show of GMA Network. After StarStruck, Iwamoto appeared on SOP Gigsters, Love to Love: Young At Heart and Nuts Entertainment. She then starred on Kung Mahawi Man Ang Ulap as Rita Acuesta and later as Valentina in Darna.

Iwa Moto’s father was a Japanese immigrant to the Philippines while her mother is Filipina. She has been in a relationship with Panfilo “Pampi” Lacson Jr., son of Senator Panfilo Lacson since 2012 with whom she has two kids.

Recently, she went to the video-sharing platform, TikTok wherein she shared her unusual experience with a street kid asking for alms. According to her, she went out to buy something from a shop in their village, and when she was about to exit the store, three kids approached her begging for alms.

Since the shop accepts mobile wallet payments, she decided not to bring a bag except her car key and cellphone. While reasoning to the street kids that she has no cash, one of them told her that he/she is accepting GCash.

She said was left dumbfounded after hearing it from the street kid. Watch the video below as she shares her encounter with the “techy” beggar.
