Because of Pambansang Kolokoy, Pearl Gonzales was bashed by netizens
PEARL GONZALES – The former Star Magic artist has spoken about being bashed because of Pambansang Kolokoy.
It was just last month when vlogger Pambansang Kolokoy, whose real name is Joel Mondina, and his wife Marites Mondina split up after 20 years of being together.
Mondina revealed that they have parted ways via a vlog titled “Peace of mind.”
According to him, they will be undergoing a legal process in their separation that’s why details about it might be limited.
Pambansang Kolokoy and his wife Marites are residents of the United States and it is possible that they will go through the process of divorce there.
Amid their separation, the name of Pearl Gonzales formerly known as Mary Eileen Gonzales was dragged.
Some netizens claimed that she was the reason behind their breakup.
Because of that, she received massive hate comments from the netizens.
“Recently, na-isyu ako. Actually, nag-viral yon. Kasi akala ng tao ako yung new dyowa ni Papa Sam Kolokoy, which is hindi kasi uncle ko yun,” Pearl told PUSH at the mediacon held for MPJ Artists of director Perry Escaño’s talent management company
“Unang-una, hindi pala ako dapat maapektuhan, kasi una, hindi totoo. At ang mga bashers, may gawin kang mabuti, may gawin kang mali, meron silang masasabi,” she added.
It was in 2013 when Pearl Gonzales became a Star Magic artist. However, her career did not blossom.
Instead, she focused on her skincare business called Love Mary.
It was in 2018 when she joined Miss Global Philippines Tourism to represent the Philippines. However, she failed to covet the crown.
