JUANITO JOSE DIAZ REMULLA III – The mugshots of the son of Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Boying Remulla has been released by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The eldest son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla was arrested by the anti-drug operatives of PDEA in Las Piñas City on Tuesday, October 11, for possession of more than P1 million worth of high-grade marijuana, or “kush”.
He was arrested by PDEA and Ninoy Aquino International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group which include the units of the Bureau of Customs, the police, and other relevant agencies after receiving a parcel containing about 1 kilo of kush with a street value of 1.3 million pesos at a house in BF Resort Village.
Remulla is now facing charges of importation of drugs or violation of Section 4 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
According to PDEA Spokesperson Dir. Derrick Carreon, the penalty is life imprisonment and a fine ranging from P500,000 to P10-M.
Among Remulla’s cases is the violation of Article 2 of RA 9165 and Section 1401 of RA 10863 or better known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

Meanwhile, following the arrest of Juanito Jose, his father DOJ Sec. Boying Remulla released a handwritten statement regarding the matter.
