At 17, Herlene Budol experienced working as a waitress
HERLENE BUDOL – The beauty queen-social media personality recalled working in a bar as a waitress at the age of 17.
Herlene, also known as “Hipon Girl,” became well-known after appearing on Wowowin’s Willie of Fortune segment.
Willie Revillame later decided to make her a regular host of his show due to her talent and funny jokes.
She has dabbled in acting and, more recently, vlogging in addition to hosting. Herlene Hipon’s YouTube channel now has over 2 million followers.
In 2020, she made headlines when she exchanged words with Miss Universe Manila Alexandra Abdon. They were able to reconcile their differences in the end.
She ventured into pageantry as well. In fact, she came in second place in Binibining Pilipinas 2022, winning seven special awards. She is currently preparing to compete for the title of Miss Planet Philippines 2022.
In the online show of Luis Manzano called Luis Listens, the beauty queen recalled her hardships in life including working as a waitress in a bar at the age of 17.
“Ako natutulog kasi ako sa school dati. Kasi galing ako ng trabaho tapos doon ako natutulog sa school. Kaya siguro depende sa teacher natin o sa pangalawang magulang natin kung paano tayo mamandohan,” she said.
“Papasok ako alas singko ng hapon tapos uuwi ako ng alas singko ng umaga. Ang pasok ko sa school, alas siyete. Hindi na ako uuwi. Dadaan na ako sa school tapos aantayin ko na magliwanag,” she added.

According to her, there were times that she goes to school drunk because she was being paid by her customers every time she takes a shot.
