No more pageants for Herlene Budol after Miss Planet International
HERLENE BUDOL – The comedienne-turned-beauty queen said Miss Planet International might be her last pageant.
Known as “Hipon Girl”, Herlene rose to fame when she joined Wowowin’s segment called Willie of Fortune.
Willie Revillame, later on, decided to make her a regular host of his show because of her talent and funny jokes.
Aside from hosting, she also ventured into acting and later on vlogging. Currently, she has over 2 million subscribers on YouTube via her channel “Herlene Hipon.”
In 2020, she made headlines following her exchange of words with Miss Universe Manila Alexandra Abdon. Eventually, they were able to settle their rift.
She also ventured into pageantry. In fact, she won as first-runner up during Binibining Pilipinas 2022, bagging seven special awards. She’s currently gearing up after being appointed as Miss Planet Philippines 2022.
However, according to her via an interview with entertainment site, Push, Miss Planet might be her last pageant stint.
“Sa Planet International na rin po siguro ‘yung last ko. Kaya gagawin ko ulit ‘yung best ko, gaya ng ginawa ko sa Binibini,” she said.
Meanwhile, Herlene Budol also declared that she has no plans of joining Binibining Pilipinas again.
“Hindi na po ako sasali talaga ng Bb. Pilipinas. Closed na po ‘yun talaga, sure na po ako talaga,” she added.
Miss Planet International 2022 will be held in Uganda this coming November.
