While the owner is on vacation, an apartment in QC was robbed
ROBBERY – An apartment in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City was robbed while the owner is on a vacation
The apartment owner was on a two weeks vacation when the theft happened.
Among the items taken away by the thief are gas stove, LPG tank, bicycle, shoes, helmet, laptop, printer, and jewelry.
“Pag-open ko ng gate, nakita ko na open na ‘yung padlock and then sira na ‘yung doorknob at window namin. And then pag-open ko ng house, nakita ko na wala na ‘yung valuable things namin and gulo-gulo ‘yung buong house,” the victim shared.
The barangay desk officer said he saw a man coming out of the apartment gate with an LPG tank and a gas stove.
The suspect, identified as Robert Apolinar, was apprehended during a subsequent police operation. He was also a resident of the aforementioned barangay and had previously been involved in the theft incident.
The suspect admitted to stealing but claimed he was only tempted when he saw someone come out of the house carrying items first.
He claimed that he was not the first person to steal from the apartment.
Also arrested by the authorities were Amor Legaspi and Joseph Piquero who bought the stolen stuff.
The suspects denied the charges.

The suspects are now being held at Quezon City Police District Station 14 on robbery charges.
Meanwhile, the victim was unable to recover some of his missing items such as 11 pairs of shoes, a printer, another laptop, and jewelry that were said to be heirlooms of his relatives.
