The 54-year-old radio commentator whose real name is Rosalio Martinez Abile was put behind bars for the violation of Section 4 of Republic Act 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

According to Police Captain Joy Iquin, spokesperson for Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO), Abile was apprehended around 9:30 am, Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Apparently, City Intelligence Unit (CIU) Chief PLTCOL Jefry Abonales did not disclose who filed the complaint against Abile.

The radio commentator was arrested in his residence at Purok Sandiwa, Brgy. Tiniguiban in Puerto Princesa City by Police Station 1, CIU, and CIDG Palawan.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Angelo Arizala, presiding judge of 4th Judicial Region, Branch 52 in the said city.

Abile’s bail under Criminal Case No. 42680 reaches P10,000.

Abile is a well-known journalist in Palawan who made headlines after spreading theories about the case of Jovelyn Galleno.

Galleno, a 22-year-old graduating student, made headlines for several weeks following her sudden disappearance. Her remains were eventually found and confirmed through DNA testing conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

One of his infamous pronouncements is that members of the Puerto Princesa PNP allegedly were involved in “tanim buto” to pressurize suspect Leobert Dasmarinas.

Recently, he made a buzz after he criticized a fellow journalist whom he claimed has involvement in illegal activities.

Abile has yet to release an official statement following his arrest.
