Suspect in Killing of 16-Year-Old Girl Found Dead Under a Bridge in Cavite, Arrested

Here’s the latest update on the case of the 16-year-old found dead under a bridge in Cavite

CAVITE – The suspect behind the killing and molesting of a 16-year-old girl who was found dead under a bridge in Trece Martires has been arrested by the authorities.

It was on Sunday, around 10 pm, when alias Nene, a 16-year-old girl told her parents that she was going to meet her friends under a bridge.

The following day, she was found lifeless under the bridge.

The suspect was identified as Elden Alegria Jr., a construction worker.

The live-in partner of the suspect positively identified the belongings found at the crime scene including the hat, towel, brief, knife, and slippers.

Based on the investigation, the victim was molested and choked before she was killed by the suspect.

Trece Martires PNP coordinated with San Jose Del Monte Bulacan PNP after learning that the suspect went into hiding in Bulacan.

The authorities found the suspect outside the house of his brother.

His brother named Jay Alegria and brother-in-law Pepito Baluran, who helped him hide were also arrested.

The suspect admitted to committing the crime. According to him, he was under the influence of alcohol which is why he was prompted to do such.

The suspect is currently facing charges filed by the police such as murder and rape.
