Korina Sanchez on Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero: “I really hope that everything is okay with them as a couple”
KORINA SANCHEZ – The television host was asked about the rumored split of Heart Evangelista and Senator Chiz Escudero.
Heart Evangelista is married to Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
They were introduced to each other by Evangelista’s “mentor”, the late senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, who was a close friend of the actress’s mom.
They tied the knot in 2015 in a private ceremony at the Balesin Island Club.
In May 2018, Evangelista and Escudero announced that they are expecting twins. However, she subsequently suffered a miscarriage.
It was in August when netizens speculated that Heart and Chiz are going through something after the Kapuso actress removed her last name Escudero on her Instagram bio.
Even the time Heart was noticed not wearing her wedding ring left the netizens puzzled.
It was on September 2 when Heart released a vlog wherein she admitted that she’s going through “personal stuff”. However, she did not disclose if it has something to do with her relationship with Chiz.
The couple has yet to issue any statement to clear things out.
In a virtual mediacon for her newest show on Net25, Korina Interviews, she was asked if Heart and Chiz were among the personalities she’s going to interview.
According to her, she wanted to interview the two: “Of course, I want to interview them. Possible rin naman na ma-interview ko si Heart na hindi namin pag-uusapan yun kung ayaw niyang pag-usapan.”
She’s hoping that everything is okay with them.
She clarified: “Wala akong alam by the way. Wala akong alam sa mga nangyayari sa kanila. I think in their own time, when they are ready, I’m also ready if they want me as a mouthpiece. So, possible if they want to stay private, we have to respect that.”
