The suspect identified as Gaspar Madredano Maneja Jr. or known as Jose Francisco Santos went hiding after committing the crime. Before heading to his home, he stayed in a forest somewhere.

CIDG-CamSur was able to retrieve the vehicle boarded by the suspect and the victim before the latter went missing.

The suspect knew the victim through a biker’s group.

In an interview with GMA News, the suspect apologized to his family and relatives for dragging their names into the issue.
