Latest Update on the Case of Jovelyn Galleno
JOVELYN GALLENO UPDATE – The cousin of the missing lady, one of the primary suspects, detailed how they committed the crime.
The 22-year-old graduating student taking up B.S. Criminology has been making a buzz in the past few days after she went missing upon entering Robinsons Place Puerto Princesa City in Palawan.
CCTV footage was released showing the victim entering the mall. However, the establishment failed to show a copy of the CCTV footage of the young woman leaving the mall despite the fact the entrance and exit points of the mall have operational surveillance cameras.
The Local Government of Puerto Princesa coordinated with the management of the Robinsons Mall in order to locate the victim. Apparently, the mall has yet to present footage showing her leaving the premises of the building.
On the other hand, Robinsons Mall claimed that they have nothing to hide regarding the matter.
But based on the report of 103.1 Brigada News FM – Palawan, the alleged remains of Jovelyn Galleno have already been found.
The alleged remains of Galleno were found in Purok Pulang Lupa Bgy. Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa. Her mother verified that the identification cards found at the crime scene belongs to the victim.
Some netizens suggest having DNA testing to confirm the remains found were of Galleno.
Meanwhile, Leobert Dasmariñas alias Padung, one of the primary suspects and first cousin of Jovelyn turned himself in to the authorities.
In an exclusive interview with Radyo Bandera Philippines, the suspect detailed how he and his accomplice identified as Jovert Valdestamon, also a cousin of Jovelyn, committed the crime.

According to Padung, he just served as the lookout while Valdestamon is molesting the victim.
