Ronald Marapon Dela Rosa also known as Bato is a retired police officer who is currently serving as a senator of the Philippines since 2019.

He also served as the chief of the Philippine National Police from July 1, 2016, to April 19, 2018, and as Director-General of the Bureau of Corrections from April 30 to October 12, 2018.

Dela Rosa was nicknamed “Bato” during his first assignment in Davao when his upperclassmen likened his body to rock.

He was supposed to run for president in the previous election but a month later after filing his candidacy, he decided to withdraw.

Recently, Senator Ronald “:Bato” dela Rosa went to social networking site, Facebook wherein he denied that he owns a Patek Philippe Nautilus that comes with a price at 357,720,000 pesos.

The issue started when Instagram user @watchspotterph posted a photo of the senator wearing a watch that they claimed was made by a luxurious watch company.

Dela Rosa denied the claim and said that his watch is not a Patek Philippe but “seikopatik.”

“Sa mga ulol dyan na marites, naisahan ko rin kayo! Yung relo ko na seikopatik na 14k php ginawa ninyong patek philippe na 360m php. Ha ha ha,” he said in a Facebook post.

He also shared some photos to prove that his watch was made by Seiko.

According to him, the one his wearing was only sold to him for only 14,000 pesos.

The said Instagram page has changed its post about Dela Rosa and corrected the information.

This is not the first time Dela Rosa was accused of wearing a luxurious watch.

It can be recalled that it was in March this year when Gretchen Barretto accused Dela Rosa of wearing an expensive watch. But according to him, it was only 85,000 pesos.
