Remember singer Ryssi Avila? She auditioned for Idol PH
RYSSI AVILA – The social media personality and singer-songwriter auditioned for Idol Philippines Season 2, a year after she stopped singing due to her past issue.
Ryssi rose to fame as a social media artist when he made covers of songs along with her ex-partner Concon Felix, a finalist on “That’s My Tomboy” of It’s Showtime.
They became popular as RyCon because of their song covers.
It was in 2020 when RyCon split and Concon posted on her official account that Ryssi went to the condo unit of Skusta Clee in the middle of their breakup. At the time, the relationship between the Ex-Battalion member and Zeinab Harake is also on the rocks.
Ryssi did not deny Concon’s claim and said that she went to Skusta’s place for a collab.
According to Ryssi, when rumors surfaced that she had a relationship with Skusta, she lost her self-esteem and interest in singing.
When she entered the Idol PH stage, judge Regine Velasquez asked her why she joined the singing search of the Kapamilya Channel.
“This is gonna be a brand-new start since nangyari sa akin last 2020 na nadamay po ako sa isang controversy with the famous social media couple [Skusta Clee at Zeinab Harake],” she said.
In her VTR pre-interview, she shared how her life and career were affected because of the issue.
