Ice Seguerra: “Thank you for your service, Liza. You are irreplaceable.”
ICE SEGUERRA — The singer recently took to social media to pay tribute to his wife Liza Diño as she steps down as the chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
In a Facebook post obtained by ABS-CBN News, Ice noted that there are things that are bound to happen that are meant to change the course of one’s life no matter how much one prepares for the future.
He said that he has witnessed many ups and downs during his wife’s term as the chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines. Despite this, he said that his wife used that to fan her passion to serve.
For him, the most important legacy Liza is leaving behind was how his wife advocated for the protection and rights of audiovisual workers.
“Marami nang nagawa but marami pang kailangan gawin,” he said. “Though Liza’s term has come to an end, I have full trust in the capacity of the FDCP staff to continue all the programs that my wife has envisioned for all of us.”
Ice went on to congratulate Tirso Cruz III for his appointment, assuring the actor that he will be working with dedicated, passionate, and hardworking people in the government.
He ended his social media post by thanking those who helped his wife when she was still the chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines.

The singer also wrote a message for his wife, saying that she sets the bar for what a government servant should be.
“Thank you for being so selfless, to a fault. For giving your heart, soul, and life for the past 6 years,” he said. “Thank you for your service, Liza. You are irreplaceable. Here’s to new beginnings, my Love!”
