Baby Fell from Bed, Drowned in Flood Water

BABY – A 9-month-old infant got drowned as the flood water rose inside their house in Macabebe, Pampanga.

Infants or babies are very fragile thus parents keep an eye on them. They have the tendency of falling from bed, crying a lot, and a lot more incidents that could harm them. They are in a helpless state and they need the total care and help of their parents or the adults around them.

There were several instances when parents lost their babies due to unexpected circumstances. A similar incident recently took place in the town of Macabebe in Pampanga.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a 9-month-old baby got drowned in flood water after falling from the bed. The father was also present but was unconscious that flood water has already entered their house and was starting to rise.

According to the report, the baby and the father were sleeping in bed when the incident that took the life of the infant happened. The mother was not around then as she went to the municipal hall.

Based on the initial details from Macabebe Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, it was around 9:00 a.m. when the incident happened at the family’s house in Purok Bukangliwayway 1 in Candelaria, Macabebe. The father did not notice that the infant fell from the bed.

Unfortunately, aside from the baby falling from the bed, the flood water was rising then inside their household and there was a strong current. The infant got drowned in the flood water.

Reportedly, the infant was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The family has not released further statements regarding the incident that led to the death of the 9-month-old baby.
