It was on Wednesday, June 1 when the actor-turned-senator took to social media wherein he shared his experience.

According to him, he was walking at the park in Madrid, Spain when he felt that his knees weakened, extreme dizziness, and darkened vision. This prompted him to sit down under a tree.

Fortunately, there was a Spanish native who helped him. Mariel and their daughter Isabela weren’t there at the time since they are busy with the rides.

Despite his dizzy feeling, Robin tried to walk to the entrance of the park to look for a taxi.

He messages his childhood friend there to fetch him. He even messaged Philippe Jones Lhuillier, the ambassador of the Philippines in Spain to help him go to the hospital.

When he felt that he was losing strength again, he saw a clinic and rushed there immediately.

A nurse who knows how to speak English accommodated him and asked what happened.

Then, the nurse took his blood pressure and it turned out its 200/150. The nurse was shocked, prompting her to call for an ambulance.

Eventually, his wife Mariel and their daughter Isabela came. He took medicine to lower his blood pressure but nothing changed.

When the ambulance came, he had a dextrose/ECG until the medicine he took had an effect lowering his blood pressure to 140/104.

Ambassador Lhuillier arrived at the park and decided to bring the newly-elected senator to the hospital.

The 52-year-old actor underwent a series of tests such as Blood test, X-ray, and urine. Fortunately, all are normal.

Robin is hoping that aging has something to do with what happened to him.

After the proclamation last May 18, Robin flew to Spain to follow his wife Mariel and their two kids.
