Vice Pres. Leni Robredo No Longer Liberal Party Chairperson after June 30

LENI ROBREDO – The Vice President will step down as the chairperson of the Liberal Party to focus on Angat Buhay Foundation.

The supporters of Vice Pres. Robredo were undeniably heartbroken by the results of the Elections 2022. It was far from what the members of the pink movement, who are looking forward to an honest government that uplifts everyone as promised by the Vice President, expected.

Many Kakampinks grieved over the loss of Robredo when it comes to digits. Meanwhile, even political analysts believe that the mark left by the Leni-Kiko tandem is one for the books and their inspiration to the people really awakened a lot of Filipinos.

The loss in the election brought grief to a lot of Leni-Kiko tandem supporters but the said grief was instantly replaced with hope when Vice Pres. Leni Robredo announced that she will launch the Angat Buhay as the biggest non-government organization (NGO) after her term ends.

Angat Buhay is a program of the Office of the Vice President. It is also the anchor in the campaign of Robredo when she sought the presidency – “Gobernong Tapat, Angat Buhay Lahat”.

Vice Pres. Robredo told her supporters that she plans to launch Angat Buhay NGO in July. The members of the pink movement were also quick to pledge their participation and support to the non-government organization.

Recently, based on a report on Inquirer, the camp of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo announced that she will step down as the chairperson of the Liberal Party on June 30 to focus on Angat Buhay Foundation.

Robredo’s spokesperson, Barry Gutierrez, expressed that “some new movement, bigger than any individual party, would emerge”. After June 30, the Vice President will become a private citizen again. With regards to her successor as the chair of Liberal Party, the party has yet to discuss it.

Gutierrez expressed that, despite not having conceded yet, Vice Pres. Robredo is “good” and “at peace” with the results of the Elections 2022. She just came home from spending two (2) weeks in New York where she attended the graduation of her youngest daughter, Jillian, who was a scholar and a working student in New York.
