Kiko Pangilinan Speaks on Launch of Angat Buhay NGO as Leni Robredo’s Back

Sen. Kiko Pangilinan to Meet w/ Vice Pres. Leni Robredo

KIKO PANGILINAN – The Senator spoke on the launch of the Angat Buhay as an NGO now that Vice President Leni Robredo is back in the Philippines.

During the campaign period for the Elections 2022, the tandem of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan who ran for the presidency and the vice-presidency, respectively, anchored their campaign on the motto, “Gobyernong Tapat, Angat Buhay Lahat”.

The said motto is in line with a program under the Office of the Vice President. It is no secret to the public that the OVP receives a very little budget from the national government but was able to launch several projects during Robredo’s six-year term. A lot of private donors trust the OVP and send donations that fund their projects.

The OVP was awarded the highest rating three (3) times under Robredo. She pushed for an honest and accountable government that will bring back the trust of the people.

However, the Leni Kiko tandem did not win in the election results. The numbers got countless hearts broken. Many “Kakampinks” grieved over the results.

Meanwhile, amid the grief, the hope was lighted once again after Vice Pres. Leni Robredo announced that “Angat Buhay” will be launched as a non-government organization in July. The Kakampinks pledged their support to Angat Buhay NGO and are looking forward to its launching.

The Vice President flew to New York and stayed there with his daughters for more than a week. Their main agenda was to attend the graduation of her youngest daughter, Jillian, who is a scholar at New York University.

Based on the report, Sen. Pangilinan said that she will meet with Vice Pres. Robredo as soon as she “stops experiencing jetlags”. They will talk about his role under Angat Buhay as an NGO.

According to the Senator, they only have a little over a month and it is best to work on it already. They are planning to seek the support of the volunteers of the pink movement to join the NGO so their communities will be assisted.

“Hindi pa tapos itong ipinangako nating Angat Buhay lahat. Hindi ibig sabihin dahil tapos na ang eleksyon, eh di, ‘Okay, nangako kami sa inyo pero ‘di tayo nanalo kaya ayun, ganun na lang.’ Hindi,” the Senator stressed.
