Access to Palace coverage or Malacañang events is usually limited to journalists in online news outfits, TV networks, and newspapers.

Pro-administration bloggers played a role during Bongbong’s presidential campaign, with some of them given priority access during UniTeam campaign sorties.

The incoming PCOO chief added that the regular Presidential press briefings will be done once to twice a week, but she couldn’t say if all journalists will be allowed to be physically present in order to cover events graced by the President-elect.

She also said that they will “look at existing policies first”, adding that they will determine and make a decision later on as to how appropriate the policies are for the current time.

We’ll have to wait and see pending a review of all existing policies regarding the coverage in Malacañang,” she said.
