IMEE MARCOS – The senator is currently making rounds online following her viral intro during her interview with Karen Davila on ANC Headstart.

Maria Imelda Josefa Remedios “Imee” Romualdez Marcos is the daughter of the late president Ferdinand Marcos and former first lady, Imelda Marcos.

Imee Marcos’ political career began during her father’s martial law regime. Currently, she is serving as a Senator since 2019.

She previously served as governor of Ilocos Norte from 2010 to 2019 and as representative of Ilocos Norte’s 2nd district from 1998 to 2007.

It was just recently when she appeared on the program ANC Headstart hosted by broadcast journalist Karen Davila.

The program started with Karen introducing Senator Imee. Apparently, the latter poked fun at the broadcaster while responding to her.

“Good morning Karen, It’s nice to see you are still here in the Philippines. Akala ko mag-ma-migrate ka pag nanalo ang Marcos,” Imee Marcos quipped.

To which Davila responded: “Hoping always for the best for the country.”

On the other hand, Imee said: “Thank you very much. We need that, uniteam.”

Some netizens could not help but react to the senator’s remark against the journalist.

“Intro pa lang sampal agad?” said @donvillar1.

There were also netizens who defended the ABS-CBN anchor.

“Some are hurt because of truth being shoved to their faces. I adore you more, Miss Karen!” wrote @leiflady.

Karen Davila has yet to issue a statement regarding the “pang-aasar” of the incumbent senator.

Meanwhile, Senator Imee denied in the said interview denied that they will try to revise the history now that they’re back in power. She’s hoping that the public will listen to their side.

She also revealed that the incoming administration will possibly work with their political rivals.
