Here’s the reason why Diego Castro and his wife Angela Lagunzad transferred from UNTV to One PH
DIEGO CASTRO and ANGELA LAGUNZAD – The former UNTV anchors revealed in an interview why they decided to transfer to One PH.
The couple is now part of the teleradio news channel, One PH of Cignal TV.
They’ve been with UNTV, the flagship Philippine television network of Progressive Broadcasting Corporation (UNTV-PBC) for ten (10) years and worked in various news and public affairs show on the network.
Diego became an anchor of Why News while Angela was once an anchor of Ito Ang Balita at the same time host-producer-writer-documentarist of Istorya.
Together, they became hosts of the morning show, Good Morning Kuya.
Diego was the first to transfer to One PH last February 2022. He became the co-anchor of Cheryl Cosim in the afternoon news program, One Balita Pilipinas (Monday to Friday, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.).
Angela, on the other hand, moved to One PH last month and became the main anchor of One Balita Weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.). She also hosted the Miting de Avance Special Coverage and the Election coverage of One PH.
In an interview with PEP.ph, the couple shared why they decided to transfer from UNTV to One PH.
“At the end of the day, we accepted the offer with our family as a primary reason,” Diego said.
Angela cited the same reason why she transferred to One PH.
