MIKE ENRIQUEZ – The veteran Kapuso broadcast journalist went viral after he mistaken Sharon Cuneta for Helen Gamboa.

Mike is considered one of the most popular broadcasters in the country.

He started his career in broadcasting as a staff announcer at the Manila Broadcasting Company in 1969.

Presently, he is the Consultant for radio operations of GMA Network, president of the network’s regional and radio subsidiary, RGMA Network Inc., and the Station Manager of Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM.

He’s also a mainstay of GMA’s newest primetime newscast “24 Oras.”

To recall, it was in 2018 he also took medical leave for the preparation of his heart bypass surgery. At the same time, he also admitted that he was being treated for kidney disease.

Throughout his career as a news anchor, he would cover numerous news events.

He also earned numerous awards and citations including the most child-friendly personalities by the Southeast Asian Foundation for Children and thrice consecutively by the Anak TV Seal awards.

Recently, he made rounds online after calling Megastar Sharon Cuneta… Helen Gamboa.

Cuneta and her husband vice presidential candidate Sen. Kiko Pangilinan were lining up at a voting precinct in Silang, Cavite as per the report of Mike Enriquez.

“Mga Kapuso, inyo pong napapanood ay ang pagboto ni Senador Francis Pangilinan, na isa sa mga kandidato para sa pagkabise-presidente ng Pilipinas,” he said.

“Tulad po ng naiulat namin kanina, kasama niya pong dumating diyan sa presintong iyan ay ang kanyang maybahay na si Miss Helen Gamboa,” he added.
