Here’s the reaction of the camp of Binay over the claims of Mocha Uson about his health
JEJOMAR BINAY – The camp of the former vice president-now-senatorial aspirant reacted to the claims of Mocha Uson about his health.
The senatorial slot is one of the coveted positions during the national elections
This year, out of hundreds who filed their Certificate of Candidacy (COC) only 12 will be elected.
Among those who are rooting for a senatorial slot in the coming elections are ordinary citizens to elite individuals as well as prominent personalities.
One of the hopefuls in the senatorial polls is no less than former Vice President Jejomar Binay.
Prior to serving as the 13th Vice President of the Philippines under President Benigno Aquino III, he was a longtime mayor of Makita City.
This time, he’s rooting for a Senate slot.
Earlier, the Mothers for Change (MOCHA) first nominee called on the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to check the health condition of the senatorial candidate.
According to Uson, news reached her that Binay was no longer in good condition and had dementia. This is said to be the reason why Binay is often absent from campaigns.
But Binay’s spokesperson Joey Salgado said that since the beginning of the campaign period, Binay has been busy with his campaigns and does not participate in the campaign rallies of presidential candidates because that is what was agreed upon being a guest senatorial candidate.
He also encouraged Uson to visit Binay’s Facebook page to see what he is doing amid the campaign.
“This so-called petition is laughable, pathetic, and desperate. Nakakalungkot lang na merong mga gustong siraan ang pangalan ni VP Binay, na malinaw ang track record ng paglilingkod sa ating mga kababayan, dahil pasok siya sa Magic 12 sa senatorial race at sinusuportahan siya ng Iglesia Ni Cristo, kilalang political leaders at local officials, at ng marami nating kababayan,” Salgado said.
