MARTIN JAY “MJ” DELA CERNA – The mini flower bouquets seller who looks like Keanu Reeves is actually a pilot.
It was in February this year when photos and videos of MJ made rounds online thanks to the feed of freelance photographer Mark Kelvin Aliliran that already garnered 9 million views.
Netizens were even more impressed when they discovered that the mini flower bouquets he was selling were the business of his wife Celeste dela Cerna, a former flight attendant.
MJ’s inspiration for selling the mini flower bouquets was his wife. Their love story is as colorful as the flowers they sell.
They met at work. MJ is a pilot while Celeste is a flight attendant working for Philippine Airlines (PAL).
However, she decided to resign when MJ transferred to a different airline.
MJ continues to be a pilot and has worked with the airlines for 25 years already and counting.
They already have two kids.
MJ is currently “in the process of returning to Shanghai, China where he works.”
It was Celeste who came up with their business which they called Le Petite Bouquet Manille.
They said their goal was to provide affordable flower bouquets to everyone.
“We came up with the price of PHP199 sana, but to make it more affordable to everybody, we lowered it down to PHP150,” MJ explained.
According to MJ, his wife was the one selecting all the flowers and designs.
Presently, their mini-bouquet flower business is still a “small online home-based business.”
They are planning to scale up but still studying the flower business.
