RAQUEL PEMPENGCO – The mother of Jake Zyrus pleads to her son to help her following the death of her mother and brother just three days apart.
Raquel is currently mourning the death of her mother “Tes” Pineda Relucio who died on Sunday, April 3, 2022.
Jake’s grandmother passed away in Raquel’s home in Lopez, Quezon.
But three days after the death of the singer’s grandmother, another tragedy took place in their family.
On Wednesday morning, April 6, Raquel’s 52-year-old brother Robert Pineda Relucio died in a motorcycle accident that also happened in Lopez, Quezon.
Because of their financial difficulty, Raquel is pleading for help from his son.
“Wala pang paramdam si Charice hanggang ngayon. Need ko talaga ngayon ang tulong,” she said.
“Tulungan niya sana ako at hindi ko kakayanin. Ako lang ang inaasahan ng pamilya ko,” she added.
Jake Zyrus is currently in the US but according to Raquel, it’s been a long time since they lost communication with each other.
Raquel admitted that it has been difficult for her since the coronavirus pandemic.
This prompted Raquel to ask for help, especially with the cremation of her mother.
“Kulang pa ang pera ko na pang-cremate [para kay Nanay], tapos eto, sumunod naman ang kuya ko,” she added.
Jake has yet to issue any statement regarding the passing of his grandmother and uncle.
Jake Zyrus who was once known as Charice Pempengco, rose to fame when he performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show and had concerts with David Foster and Andrea Bocelli.
