Marcos Jr. Wants To Help Out-of-School Youth Get Diplomas Not Only Certificates

Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos Jr. Desires to Strengthen Online Courses for Out-of-School Youth

MARCOS JR – Presidential candidate and former Senator Bongbong Marcos wants to help the out-of-school youth obtain not only certificates but diplomas.

Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos is one of the 10 presidential candidates in the Election 2022. He is running under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas alongside presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio who is the vice-presidential candidate of Lakas-CMD.

The tandem of Marcos and Duterte is called the “UniTeam”. They are vocal about their calls for unity among the people. However, they earned criticism as both candidates are among those who did not attend the debates set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos Jr. is vocal that he wants to meet the people through campaign events. Recently, his camp released a statement regarding his concern for the out-of-school youth in the country.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the statement stressed that the former Senator is concerned about the 4-million out-of-school youth and wants to address the problem of the increasing number of children who are not getting an education.

According to Marcos Jr. as quoted in the statement, the COVID-19 pandemic has further increased the number of out-of-school youth in the country. He wants to strengthen the online courses to help the out-of-school youth get not only certificates but diplomas.

The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer also mentioned the current programs that can help the out-of-school youth such as the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and the vocational courses offered by TESDA.

According to the former Senator, if he wins president, he wants seminars to be conducted for the youth to know the importance of education and the programs and privileges that are available for them.
