Here’s the message of Dr. Tony Leachon to Juan Ponce Enrile
DR. TONY LEACHON – The health advocate expressed his frustration with former senate president Juan Ponce Enrile for taking sides with the Marcos family again.
In a tweet, Leachon reminded that Enrile was one of the high-ranking government officials who led the EDSA Revolution that ousted former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
“JPE led the EDSA revolution with FVR – & now he’s defending and supporting BBM. Paradox of life. Unbelievable,” Leachon, former National Task Force (NTF) against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) special adviser, said.
Enrile once served as Defense Secretary of the Marcos administration.
But in 1986, Enrile led the cout d’etat against the Marcoses.
After a few decades, Enrile reconciled with the Marcoses, especially BBM.
In fact, these past few days, Enrile volunteered to become the lawyer of presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in talks about the 203-B pesos estate tax.
According to Enrile, he was just paying forward the kindness shown to him by BBM’s father.
Meanwhile, Bongbong Marcos or BBM runs for president in the coming elections together with his runningmate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.
The Marcos family is being criticized for their allegedly 203 billion peso estate tax.
Enrile and Marcos are yet to issue any statement regarding the message of Dr. Tony Leachon.
