It was just recently when Catriona expressed her support to Robredo.

Robredo is running for president in the coming elections together with her running mate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan. They will go against the tandem of; former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

The beauty queen is rooting for Robredo in the presidency because according to her, it was only the incumbent vice president who has worked under “three branches of government” among other candidates.

“And my choice for president is Leni Robredo. She’s the only candidate with experience in all three branches of our government, judiciary as a volunteer lawyer, legislative as a congresswoman, and executive as a vice president.”

But days prior to the pronouncement of Catriona Gray, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) chairperson Prospero “Popoy” de Vera took to social media wherein he stressed that people saying Robredo worked in three branches of government doesn’t have any idea about it.

According to him, Robredo’s stint at the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) could not be considered she worked in the judiciary.

PAO is under the Department of Justice (DOJ), which is under the executive department and not the judiciary.

Among the renowned politicians who have worked in the three branches of the government are late senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago and former President Jose P. Laurel.
