Here’s the “reaction” of Vico Sotto regarding the cyberlibel complaint filed against him by the vice mayor of Pasig City
VICO SOTTO – The incumbent mayor of Pasig City is facing cyberlibel complaint filed by his vice mayor.
It was on Friday, March 18 when Pasig City Vice Mayor Iyo Caruncho Bernardo filed a cyberlibel complaint against Sotto.
The complaint was in connection to the speech of Sotto during a flag-raising ceremony wherein he called out the vice mayor for allegedly being “uncooperative and unsupportive” in terms of the programs, policies, and agenda of their local government unit.
Bernardo told the reporters that it is not in the character of Pasig residents to malign other people. He added that there’s a proper venue where he can air his grievances and not during flag-raising ceremonies.
Apparently, the camp of Bernardo did not provide further details about the cyberlibel complaint.
Bernardo’s lawyer Ramon Gerard Hernandez also denied that his filing of cyberlibel complaint against Sotto was related to politics.
Vico Sotto has yet to comment on the complaint filed against him by his vice mayor. His camp is still awaiting for a copy of the cyberlibel complaint.
Meanwhile, netizens noticed that Sotto had already watched the interview of Bernardo regarding his cyber libel case.
In the video, it can be seen that Vico just laughed at the case because of his “haha” reaction.
The two are vying for the mayoralty posts in the coming election. With this, some claimed that the case he filed against Sotto is politically-related.
