Senate Pres. Tito Sotto Speaks on Recent Statement of Sen. Manny Pacquiao
TITO SOTTO – The vice-presidential candidate and Senate President reacted to the willingness of Senator Manny Pacquiao to adopt him as his vice presidential bet.
In less than two (2) months, both local and national elections are set to be held. The campaign period for both the local and national election candidates are currently ongoing.
After more than a month since the campaign period for the national election started, Sen. Manny Pacquiao is confident that he will get a lot of votes in the upcoming poll. He visited even the bailiwicks of his presidential race contenders.
Sen. Pacquiao is running with Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza in the upcoming election. They are under PROMDI. However, recently, the former Manila Mayor was not able to join the Senator in their campaign sorties.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Rep. Lito Atienza is having a leg problem. In case he will not push through with his vice-presidential bid, Sen. Manny Pacquiao is planning to adopt vice-presidential candidate and Senate Pres. Tito Sotto as his VP bet.
According to Sen. Pacquiao during a Christian fellowship at the Great Vision Church in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, even Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza wants Senate Pres. Tito Sotto to replace his spot in case he will not be able to continue the vice-presidential race.
Meanwhile, Sen. Pacquiao stressed that Rep. Atienza remains his vice-presidential bet unless he quits from the race. He is confident that the former Manila Mayor will recover and be back in their campaign sorties.
Based on the report, for his part, Senate Pres. Tito Sotto expressed his appreciation for being considered to be the VP bet of Sen. Manny Pacquiao if Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza quits the vice-presidential race.
“I am humbled and will certainly appreciate such a move. Lito Atienza has, is, and will always be a true statement,” Senate Pres. Sotto said.
