Moreno will run for the highest government position alongside his running mate Doc Willie Ong.

They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

But according to Atienza, former mayor of Manila, he tried to discourage Isko from running the said post.

The father of Kuya Kim would like the actor-turned-politician to continue his work in developing the country’s capital.

According to him, Isko is getting the victory he aimed for in Manila until he decided to run for president.

Atienza said he tried to convince him not to run because he might not be lucky enough to win the presidency in the May 9, 2022 elections.

“Next election hinog na hinog ka, wala kang katalo-talo Isko. He could’ve been of service to Manila for what, another 7 years, 8 years?” he said.

Lito Atienza, the incumbent representative of the Buhay party-list said that it was only under the leadership of Isko Moreno the capital city developed again.
