According to Sharon, she has been thinking for a long time about whether she will make a public apology or not.

At one point, she said: “Dahil sa dinami-dami ng kanta, bakit naman kanta ko pa ang napili? Dahil kaya Goliath ang VP candidate niya sa David kong asawa? Nasaktan ako.”

She refers to the vice-presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte as “Goliath” while her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan is “David.”

Sharon admitted that the words she used when reposting Panelo’s video from CNN Philippines while singing “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas” were not pleasant.

She also clarified that she’s not against using her song except this campaign season.

Panelo has yet to issue any statement regarding the apology of Sharon Cuneta.
