Who might be the presidential candidate Duterte will support in the coming polls?
RODRIGO DUTERTE – The outgoing president of the Republic of the Philippines will support a candidate for presidency whose name has the letter “O.”
This was according to communications secretary Martin Andanar in an interview with Politiko TV.
Andanar said that the president may support a candidate with the letter “O” in his/her name.
However, it might be a difficult guessing game since most of the candidates have the letter “O” in their names.
Among those are presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella, labor leader Leody de Guzman, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, former national security adviser Norberto Gonzales, Senator Ping Lacson, Lanao del Sur businessman Faisal Mangomdato, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Dr. Jose Montemayor Jr., Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Vice President Leni Robredo.
Meanwhile, Duterte might not support candidates who have the letter “U” in their names.
Two of the presidential candidates have letter U in their names particularly, Pacquiao and de Guzman.
“The President has repeatedly said that he does not support any presidential candidate unless there is a compelling reason at kung maalala niyo po dun sa interview na ginawa natin,” Andanar clarified.
Duterte has yet to reveal the name of the candidate he’s going to support in the coming polls.
The candidates and their respective parties are busy campaigning across the country as the May 9, 2022 election nears.
