It was in October last year when it was announced that Kiko would be playing the role of Noah.

But last month, Kiko had to drop his role over conflict with schedule. Then, Paolo was chosen to take over the role of Kiko.

His departure from the upcoming television series was among the topics in the latest vlog of Ogie Diaz, Mama Loi, and Mrena.

In the said vlog, they talked about the possible reason why Kiko left the series.

“Kasi naliliitan daw siya sa role niya,” said Ogie.

“Ha? Bakit ano ba ang role n’ya?” balik-tanong ni Mama Loi.

In the later part of the vlog, Mrena said: “Baka na-insecure siya kay Joshua Garcia kuya (Ogie) kaya ganu’n. Sa pag-acting niya kasi Joshua Garcia grabe sa aktingan ‘yan.”

Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series is set to kick off this year.

It stars Jane de Leon as Darna/Narda Custodio, Janella Salvador as Valentina, Joshua Garcia as Brian Samonte Robles, a policeman and Narda’s love interest, and Zaijan Jaranilla as Ricardo “Ding” Custodio, Narda’s brother and sidekick.

Aside from them also joining the series are Rio Locsin as Roberta Ferrer-Custodio, Paolo Gumabao as Noah Ballesteros and Iza Calzado as Leonor Custodio, a “prime warrior” from Planet Marte and the mother of Ding and Darna’s human alter ego Narda. She is the “first Darna” who will pass on her magical stone to her daughter Narda.

The Darna role was originally offered to actress Liza Soberano. However, due to circumstances, it was given to Jane de Leon.
