Toni Gonzaga ends PBB hosting stint after 16 years
TONI GONZAGA – The Kapamilya star will no longer host the reality show, Pinoy Big Brother (PBB).
Toni started her showbiz career at the age of 13. It was in 1997 when she joined a singing competition called “Metropop Star Search” and won.
She later ventured into acting and has starred in numerous shows and movies.
At present, she is a well-known TV host of the ABS-CBN reality franchise show Pinoy Big Brother.
But according to ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe, Toni will no longer host PBB. The latter also endorsed actress Bianca Gonzales to be the main host of the said program.
However, it is not yet known whether Toni was fired or just resigned from being the host.
“THIS JUST IN: According to a reliable source, Toni Gonzaga will no longer host Pinoy Big Brother. No formal resignation but source said Toni has voluntarily endorsed the main hosting job to Bianca Gonzalez,” said Felipe.
Toni Gonzaga and the management of PBB have yet to issue any statement.
Many netizens believe that the actress’ departure from PBB has something to do with her support for the UniTeam of former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Toni is one of the avid supporters of the BBM-Sara tandem. In fact, she was the host during their proclamation rally held in Philippine Arena.
Some netizens also did not hesitate to give their opinion about what is happening to the actress.

Toni has been the host of PBB since 2005.
