The two are gearing up for the presidential and vice-presidential positions respectively in the coming May 9, 2022 election.

They will go against the tandem of; Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Doc Willie Ong, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative, Lito Atienza as well as Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

Among the avid supporter of the BBM-Sara tandem is no other than director Paul Soriano.

Apparently, there are some who are not in favor of his public support of the aforementioned candidates.

In response to the criticisms he’s receiving, the husband of Toni Gonzaga released a statement.

“There’s no need for me to cancel anyone whether you like me, you love, you hate me. I just wanna get the record straight I didn’t say that I’m cancelling anyone. It’s unfortunate what happened online, but I guess it’s part of the society we live in today. And at the end of the day I subscribe to unity as what BBM and Sara are living by,” he said.

“Hopefully, our country will understand and one day realize that it’s important to come together rather than be against each other,” he added.

BBM is the godfather of Paul and Toni in their wedding so it cannot be denied that they are close to each other.

Paul is also the director of Marcos’ campaign advertisement titled “Unity.”

To recall, Toni Gonzaga previously earned the backlash of netizens following her interview with Marcos Jr. Some claimed that the latter altered what actually has transpired during the Martial Law. Toni kept mum on the issue.
