Netizens Slam Teacher After Making Wrong Corrections to Student’s Right Answer
An English teacher earns criticisms and negative reactions after making wrong corrections to a student’s right answers.
School teacher is personnel hired by both government and private schools to help students to acquire academic knowledge. They are also considered as the second parent of the students inside the school premises
Nowadays, most schools are short-staffed and have no choice but to add load to teachers and juggle various subjects due to the pandemic. However, it was not a good thing because students may learn the wrong thing.
A Twitter user named Najib Ismail has shared the photos of an exercise book uploaded by Aimal Abdullah. The teacher reportedly made wrong corrections to student’s right answers. The post goes viral and elicits criticisms from the netizens.
The student’s corrected exercise book answers sparked arguments online after the teacher made wrong corrections. The student answered all the questions correctly but the teacher marked the answers wrong and made wrong corrections.
A lot of netizens have expressed their disappointment to the teacher for teaching English but was not able to use basic English. Some people also urged the school to remove her from being an English teacher.
However, some netizens defended the teacher and explained that the school is probably understaffed and hired someone who is not qualified.
The video has a caption of:
“Ingat ya. Some teachers don’t have background in TESL. These teachers are sometimes INSTRUCTED to teach English because most schools have shortages. If you want someone to blame, blame the system.”
