Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte was asked if she’ll be seeking her father’s support for BBM.
SARA DUTERTE — On Thursday, the vice-presidential candidate said that they’re hoping to have the support of her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, for her tandem with presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
However, Mayor Sara said that they will also respect her father’s decision, citing that her father is the President after all.
The incumbent Davao City mayor was asked if she’ll be seeking her father’s support for her running mate. In response to reporters, Mayor Sara said that having her father’s support for the Uniteam is what they all want to see.
“’Yan ang gusto naming lahat na makita yung suporta ni Pangulong Duterte para sa UniTeam,” Mayor Sara said. “But of course, he is the President so he is allowed to do and to say kung ano yung gusto niya and we will respect his decision.”

President Duterte also bared that almost all of those running for the top post asked him for support “in one way or the other”.
Meanwhile, Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go earlier said that President Duterte alone would make the final decision on whom to endorse in the 2022 elections, if at all.
President Duterte earlier endorsed the senatorial bids of former Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque and former senator JV Ejercito.
