President Duterte to Skip Daughter Sara’s Proclamation Rally

RODRIGO DUTERTE – The president is expected to skip the proclamation rally of his daughter, vice presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, and her running mate former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.

The campaign period for national positions starts today, February 8 with proclamation rallies of top presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

Ferdinand Marcos Jr.-Sara Duterte tandem is scheduled from 4 pm onwards (Doors open at 2 pm). It will be held in Philippine Arena, Ciudad de Victoria, Santa Maria, Bulacan, and hosted by Toni Gonzaga.

Apparently, President Duterte might skip the kickoff rally of his daughter and BBM.

In a press briefing, acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles said: “According to the Appointment’s Office here in Malacañang, wala pong ganyang entry sa kanyang calendar as of last night.”

Marcos’ spokesman, Attorney Vic Rodriguez said they were not able to reach out to the President regarding his attendance in their proclamation rally.

Meanwhile, Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan tandem will hold proclamation rally today at 5:30 pm in Magsaysay Avenue, Naga City.

Panfilo Lacson-Vicente Sotto III tandem is scheduled at 5 pm today in Imus Grandstand, Cavite.

Manny Pacquiao-Lito Atienza’s tandem is set at 3 pm today in General Santos City.

Isko Moreno Domagoso-Willie Ong is at 4:30 pm in Kartilya ng Katipunan or Bonifacio Shrine, Manila.

Leody de Guzman-Walden Bello, on the other hand, is set from 6 pm to 9 pm and the venue will be in Bantayog ng mga Bayani, Quezon City.
