Sen. Manny Pacquiao Kicks Off Presidential Campaign in GenSan

PACQUIAO – The family and friends of Senator Manny Pacquiao prayed for him ahead of the kick-off of his presidential campaign.

The campaign period for the May 2022 Election in the Philippines has officially started. According to the Commission on Elections (Comelec), ten (10) candidates for president remained on the official ballot for the upcoming election.

One of the candidates for president is PROMDI standard-bearer and incumbent Sen. Manny Pacquiao. He is running alongside Representative Lito Atienza, the political party’s vice-presidential candidate.

The boxer-turned-Senator is vocal about his desire to help more people. It is widely known to the public that he has helped a lot of Filipinos already even prior to his entry into politics. According to him, his personal budget is limited and he will be able to help more Filipinos with the budget of the government that is bigger.

Sen. Manny Pacquiao is vocal about knowing the situation of the poor Filipinos as he himself came from poverty. Providing the poor Filipinos housing is one the things he said he will focus on if he wins president in the Election 2022.

After confirming his presidential bid, the Senator announced his retirement from boxing where he has spent on a huge part of his life. It is no secret to the public that most of his riches came from his winning in the sports field.

Sen. Pacquiao held the kick-off of his presidential campaign in General Santos City. Based on a post of reporter Dyan Castillejo, before the official start of his presidential campaign, his family and friends prayed for him.
