The Broken Marriage Vow star opened up about her humble beginnings in the world of entertainment via the latest vlog of Karen Davila.

According to her, among the struggles she had before is when their father left them. She and her brother were singlehandedly raised by their mom. At the time, they used to sell popcorn where they usually get their school allowance.

But one day, they decided to stop their small business.

She added that her first talent fee in showbiz was only around P1,500.

Despite what she had gone through, Jodi remained persistent in life.

Jodi Sta. Maria started off when she auditioned for Star Magic at the age of 15.

Eventually, she appeared in teen-oriented shows and movies such as Gimik, Flames, Jologs, and Tabing Ilog.

In 2015, she starred as Amor Powers in the remake of Pangako Sa ‘Yo that earned her an International Emmy Award for Best Actress nomination, the second Filipina actress to earn such a distinction.

Presently, she stars in “The Broken Marriage Vow”, the Philippine adaptation of Doctor Foster.

It also stars with Zanjoe Marudo, Sue Ramirez, Zaijian Jaranilla, Jane Oineza, Joem Bascon, Art Acuña, Rachel Alejandro, Angeli Bayani, Ketchup Eusebio, Bianca Manalo, Empress Schuck, Ronnie Lazaro, Susan Africa, Maris Racal, Jake Ejercito and to name a few.

The Broken Marriage Vow premieres via the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Jeepney TV, A2Z Channel 11, TV5, and iWant TFC.
